silverflowe design is an Edinburgh and Kinross based garden design studio combining the talents of Diane Blood and Steven Johnston. Our name is inspired by the Silver Flowe - a unique, wild and beautiful upland bog in Galloway, southern Scotland, home of the rare Azure Hawker Dragonfly.

We share a passion for the natural environment, finding inspiration in landscapes around the world at the vast scale and in fascinating detail. We both changed career to train in garden design as we wanted to bring the special qualities of the natural world into well designed garden spaces.

We bring complimentary skills from Steven's background in event floristry and Diane's as a veterinary surgeon to provide a knowledgeable and professional service for our clients. 
Diane trained at The Oxford College of Garden Design and Steven at The London College of Garden Design.

Working to the highest industry standards and continuing our professional development is very important to us. As Pre-registered Members of the Society of Garden Designers we are working towards full membership. We are also Designer Members of the Association of Professional Landscapers and support the Royal Horticulture Society and the Royal Caledonian Horticulture Society.
